What is Emocrust® lotio:
Emocrust® lotio contains urea, Dermosoft® decalact liquid and shea butter. It is intended to gently remove crust, dandruff and scales from the capillitia. Suitable for skin prone to seborrhoea (crusta lactea) in newborns, infants and toddlers. It comes in a white, 75ml plastic container. The container is packed in a box along with the Instructions for Use.
Ingredients: Aqua, Paraffinum Liquidum, Urea, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Glycerin, Octyldodecanol, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Sodium Caproyl/Lauroyl Lactylate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Triethyl Citrate, Glyceryl Stearate, Jojoba Esters, Helianthus Annuus Seed Wax, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Polyglycerin-3, Dimethicone, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Octenidine HCl, Sorbitan Oleate, Octyldodecyl Xyloside, PEG-30 Dipolyhydroxystearate, Phenoxyethanol, Triethylene Glycol, Triethanolamine.

How Does Emocrust® lotio Work:
Emocrust® lotio contains 5% urea, which helps remove stuck-on scales and crust off the skin. It also contains Dermosoft® decalact liquid, an antimicrobial component, and shea butter, that help regenerate irritated skin. The product can be used on pregnant and breastfeeding women and children of all age groups. The product can be applied on newborns.

How Does Urea Work?
Urea is a physiological part of the skin and sweat. The content of urea in the skin (norm 1.0 -1.4g/100g dry matter) is significantly reduced in atopic eczema, psoriasis and old age. This results in a reduced ability of keratin to bind with water. Urea is a natural moisturizing factor of the keratin layer of the epidermis. It has a hygroscopic (water binding) effect and influences the binding of water to intracellular proteins. It promotes desquamation. It softens the skin and keeps the skin layer smooth. If the concentration is over 10%, urea has an anti-bacterial effect. As a physiological substance, it does not have any undesired side effects and can be applied on small children.

How Does Dermosoft® decalact Work?
Chemically, it is a combination of caproyl lactate and triethyl citrate. Both substances are made of 100% natural ingredients. The antimicrobial effect is optimized so that it specifically acts against microorganisms that cause skin problems, like dandruff, acne, athlete’s foot or skin odour. It acts on yeast – Candida albicans, fungi – Trichophyton, pittosporum pathogens – Malassezia furfur and gram+ bacteria – Cutibacterium acnes (formerly Propionibacterium acnes) and Corynebacterium xerosis. Dermosoft® decalact is easily biodegradable. It has not been tested on animals. It has the Ecocert protection seal, which means it is made of ingredients that come from controlled ecological agriculture.

How does Shea Butter Work?
Shea butter is fat from shea tree seeds that grow in East and West tropical Africa. In addition to unsaturated fatty acids, it contains a high concentration (6–10%) of substances like Vitamin E, allantoin and triterpene alcohols, which protect the skin from drying out and microorganisms. It has anti-inflammatory effects, it accelerates and facilitates the healing of burns, minor wounds and abrasions.

How to Use Emocrust® lotio:
Apply an adequate amount of the product onto thoroughly cleansed and dried capillitia, rubbing it all the way down to the roots of the hair in scaly places. Apply 1-2 times a day, in the morning and at noon. Wash it off with Cutosan® wash gel (does not contain sodium lauryl sulphate) in the evening. This gradually and gently removes the scales from the scalp. Suitable to use until the crust is removed. The product can be applied on newborns.
Warning:
For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes. Do not use in case of an allergy or hypersensitivity to any one of the ingredients in the product.
Storage and Transportation Conditions:
Store at 5 to 25 °C, out of the reach of children and in its original package.
Do not use the product, once the date on the box and label has expired.
